Hi! It’s Jesse. We are offering a 4-6 inch Aloe congolensis, commonly known as the Congo Aloe.
These are beautiful compact, clustering Aloes with short, thick, shiny bright-green leaves and prominent teeth along the margins. The tight rosettes stay around 5 inches wide, while mature plants generally reach about 6–8 inches tall.
Aloe congolensis has a unique creeping growth habit. Its stems can travel along the ground to around 2 feet long, producing numerous offsets and eventually creating an impressive spreading colony. The bright green foliage can also develop attractive reddish-brown coloring when stressed by drought or cooler temperatures.
Mature plants produce upright flower stalks around 1 foot tall with beautiful pinkish-red to reddish-orange flowers during the cooler months.
This one is already getting some nice size and is in pristine condition. A compact, unusual Aloe and a must-have for the collector. These are flowering-age Aloes.
You will receive the actual Aloe pictured or a similar Aloe.
Aloes will be mailed bare root.
Thank you,
Little Garden Gemz
