Hi! It’s Jesse. We are offering a 1-gallon Aloe ellenbeckii, also known by its synonym Aloe dumetorum.
These are beautiful compact, clump-forming Aloes with narrow, fleshy green leaves marked with attractive pale spots and small teeth along the margins. New leaves emerge more upright before gracefully arching outward as they mature.
Aloe ellenbeckii generally stays under about 1 foot tall and readily produces pups, eventually forming an attractive group of multiple rosettes.
Mature plants produce tall flower stalks with unusual orange-red flowers that open to yellow, often showing greenish tips. The combination of colors gives the blooms a distinctive candy-corn-like appearance.
This one is already getting some nice size and is in pristine condition. An uncommon East African species and a must-have Aloe for the collector. These are flowering-age Aloes.
You will receive the actual Aloe pictured or a similar Aloe.
Aloes will be mailed bare root.
Thank you,
Little Garden Gemz
