Hi! It’s Jesse. We are offering a 1-gallon Aloe marlothii, commonly known as the Mountain Aloe or Flat-Flowered Aloe.
These are impressive large, heavily armed tree-forming Aloes with broad gray-green to blue-green leaves covered with strong reddish-brown spines. Mature plants develop a thick, usually solitary trunk with old dried leaves remaining around the stem, giving them a rugged architectural appearance.
Aloe marlothii generally reaches around 6–13 feet tall, with exceptional specimens growing even larger under favorable conditions.
One of the most distinctive features of this species is its massive flowering display. Mature plants produce highly branched flower stalks with numerous horizontal to spreading flower spikes, creating the characteristic flat-flowered appearance.
The flowers can range from golden yellow and orange to bright red, with orange-red forms especially common.
This one is already getting some nice size and is in pristine condition. A spectacular architectural Aloe and a must-have for the serious collector. These are flowering-age Aloes.
You will receive the actual Aloe pictured or a similar Aloe.
Aloes will be mailed bare root.
Thank you,
Little Garden Gemz
