Hi! It’s Jesse. We are offering a 1-gallon Aloe megalacantha.
These are impressive large-toothed, stem-forming Aloes native to Ethiopia and Somalia. They produce long green to blue-green leaves that curve gracefully backward and are armed with prominent reddish-brown marginal teeth.
As they mature, Aloe megalacantha develops an upright to spreading shrubby growth habit and can reach around 1½–6½ feet tall, depending on the form and growing conditions. Mature leaves can reach around 2 feet long, giving the plant a bold architectural appearance.
Mature plants produce large, heavily branched flower stalks topped with dense clusters of yellow, orange, or scarlet-red flowers.
This one is already getting some nice size and is in pristine condition. A distinctive East African Aloe with impressive armoring and a must-have for the collector. These are flowering-age Aloes.
You will receive the actual Aloe pictured or a similar Aloe.
Aloes will be mailed bare root.
Thank you,
Little Garden Gemz
