Hi! It’s Jesse. We are offering a 1-gallon Aloe mitriformis (Aloe perfoliata), commonly known as the Mitre Aloe.
These are beautiful blue-green, creeping Aloes with thick, fleshy leaves arranged in dense architectural rosettes. The leaves are lined with prominent teeth and can develop attractive reddish to bronze tones under strong sun and drier growing conditions.
Aloe mitriformis has a distinctive sprawling, stem-forming growth habit. As the plant matures, the stems naturally extend along the ground, producing side shoots and additional rosettes. Older plants can eventually develop stems around 6 feet long, creating impressive spreading colonies.
Mature plants produce branched flower stalks topped with dense clusters of dull red to bright red tubular flowers.
This one is already getting some nice size and is in pristine condition. A distinctive South African Aloe with an unusual creeping growth habit and a must-have for the collector. These are flowering-age Aloes.
You will receive the actual Aloe pictured or a similar Aloe.
Aloes will be mailed bare root.
Thank you,
Little Garden Gemz
