Hi! It’s Jesse. We are offering a 1-gallon Aloe spicata, commonly known as the Lebombo Aloe.
These are impressive long-leaved, shrub-forming Aloes with dense rosettes of green foliage that gracefully curves backward as the plant matures. Under dry growing conditions, the leaves can develop beautiful coppery-red coloring.
Aloe spicata develops upright stems that may remain simple or branch with age, eventually forming an architectural specimen around 3–6½ feet tall.
Mature plants produce tall, extremely dense cylindrical flower spikes covered with unusual greenish-yellow to golden-yellow flowers. The buds often begin brownish before opening, giving the flower spike a distinctive two-toned appearance.
This one is already getting some nice size and is in pristine condition. An unusual southern African Aloe with a distinctive flowering display and a must-have for the collector. These are flowering-age Aloes.
You will receive the actual Aloe pictured or a similar Aloe.
Aloes will be mailed bare root.
Thank you,
Little Garden Gemz
