Hi! It’s Jesse. We are offering a 1-gallon Aloe tomentosa.
These are unusual gray-green, rosette-forming Aloes native to the high mountains of Yemen. Mature plants are generally stemless and solitary, forming substantial rosettes of thick, smooth, glaucous gray-green leaves lined with short brown marginal teeth.
The leaves can reach around 14 inches long and may develop subtle reddish tones depending on growing conditions.
Aloe tomentosa is especially prized for one of the most unusual flowering displays in the Aloe genus. Mature plants produce branched flower stalks reaching around 2½ feet tall, carrying distinctive greenish-white to white flowers with green striping.
The flowers are covered in soft, woolly hairs, a rare characteristic among Aloes and the feature that gives Aloe tomentosa its name.
This one is already getting some nice size and is in pristine condition. A rare Arabian species with an exceptionally unusual flowering habit and a must-have Aloe for the serious collector. These are flowering-age Aloes.
You will receive the actual Aloe pictured or a similar Aloe.
Aloes will be mailed bare root.
Thank you,
Little Garden Gemz
