Aloe tongaensis

$60.00
sold out

Hi! It’s Jesse. We are offering a 1-gallon Aloe tongaensis (Aloidendron tongaense), commonly known as the Tonga Tree Aloe.

These are impressive tree-forming Aloes with long, recurving dull-green leaves held in dense rosettes at the ends of the branches.

As it matures, Aloe tongaensis develops a stout trunk with beautiful forked branching and a broad, rounded crown. Mature specimens can eventually reach around 20–26 feet tall, developing into an incredible architectural tree Aloe.

Mature plants produce short, branched flower stalks with distinctive yellowish-orange to orange flowers. The tubular flowers curve and hang downward, creating a beautiful pendant flowering display above the foliage.

This one is already getting some nice size and is in pristine condition. A rare subtropical tree Aloe from southern Mozambique and northern KwaZulu-Natal and a must-have for the serious collector.

You will receive the actual Aloe pictured or a similar Aloe.

Aloes will be mailed bare root.

Thank you,
Little Garden Gemz
